About the role

A typical day for a Project Co‑ordinator could look like this:

  • Project Housekeeping: Maintaining the folder structures and documentation for 50+ active projects to ensure everything is audit‑ready and accessible.
  • Data Reporting: Leveraging advanced Excel (macros/pivots) to track KPIs and provide performance metrics for the PMO.
  • Stakeholder Support: Assisting Project Leads by extracting data for high‑level presentations using templates and tracking smaller work packages.
  • Deadline Coordination: Monitoring project timelines and proactively prompting team members to ensure milestones are met.
  • Process Setup: Establishing and enabling the administrative foundations for new projects.
  • Team Liaison: Acting as a central point of contact within a diverse, fast‑paced engineering environment to keep information flowing.

Who we are looking for

To succeed as a Project Co‑ordinator, we do need you to have the following experience or skills:

  • Excel Power‑User: Managing complex spreadsheets, using macros, and performing detailed data analysis.
  • Organisational Discipline: A natural “completer‑finisher” who enjoys creating order and maintaining high standards of documentation.
  • Proactive Mindset: The ability to take initiative and work independently once given a clear objective.
  • Effective Communication: Clear, confident verbal and written skills to collaborate with an outgoing and diverse project team.
  • Listening effectively: to understand what is required.

Nice to have

Education / Qualifications

Either an Engineering or Science degree or similar, or a clear equivalent path through relevant apprenticeship or accumulated experience.
