About the role
A typical day for a C# Senior Software Manager could look like this:
- Leading sprint planning, estimation, and tracking for the C# team, keeping delivery realistic, visible, and aligned to the customer release process
- Coaching and developing team members: running 1:1s, appraisals, and supporting career growth in an inclusive environment
- Collaborating with architects, LabVIEW, Data Analysis, and Systems teams to manage cross‑functional dependencies and unblock delivery
- Engaging stakeholders across programme and applications teams, communicating delivery status clearly and supporting customer‑facing readiness decisions
- Reviewing code and reinforcing design patterns, MVVM architecture, and C# .NET best practice to keep quality high as the team scales
- Contributing hands‑on technically when capacity allows, staying close to the codebase and influencing architectural decisions

To succeed as a C# Senior Software Manager, we do need you to bring:
- A minimum of 5 years’ hands‑on C# software development industry experience
- People management or team leadership, including appraisals, career development, and recruitment
- Strong C# .NET architecture knowledge, including design patterns, MVVM, and threading models
- UI development with WPF or equivalent technologies
- Owning and communicating phased delivery plans: milestones, assumptions, dependencies, and confidence levels
- Agile or lean delivery in a multi‑disciplinary sprint‑based environment
- Communicating complex technical concepts clearly to both technical peers and non‑technical stakeholders
- Working with requirement traceability, design reviews, and Jira (or equivalent) from concept through to delivery
