3PL Account Manager

I am looking to engage with experienced 3PL Account Managers, based out of the North. Interested in joining a rapidly growing, ambitious global freight forwarder, embarking on an exciting new strategy taking their business to the next level in 2025. Expanding their footprint across the North.

Salary – £45,000

Car Allowance- £4,800

Bonus- 10-15%

Areas of focus (Retail, Ecommerce, Automotive, Healthcare)

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day to day running of the department in the various facilities
• Ensure good communications with all departments within the branch
• Manage and encourage good working relations with all customers
• Drive development of customer specific systems requirements
• Monitor service levels & quality requirements within all facilities
• Ensure the department meets financial and productivity goals
• Increase branch revenues through customer sales calls & business development
• Provide pricing & product assistance to customers & internal sales
• Customer Retention – Build relationships with current customer base
• Participate in customer meetings and reviews
• Weekly communication & reporting with Regional Distribution Manager
• Employee development, interview and select staff, conduct appraisals
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors
• Responsible for management of the Distribution P&L

Experience and Education:

• Previous Management/Supervisory experience essential
• Previous experience dealing with a Quality Management System an advantage
• Three years’ experience in distribution/inventory control
• Proficient in the use of Warehouse Management Systems and Microsoft Office
• Effective interpersonal skills. Ability to relate to customers and internal employees at all levels
• Possess a positive, can do, attitude.
