Salary: £17.07 per hour plus 15% Bonus

As one of our team leaders, your role will be key in helping the business to achieve sales targets whilst assisting the Store Manager in the daily operations of the store. This includes providing excellent customer service, supervising and training staff, and ensuring the store is clean and organised. You will also be responsible for opening and closing the store, handling transactions, and resolving customer complaints. All our team members need flexibility in their available hours; this includes weekends, bank holidays and working additional hours at our busiest trading times around winter peak.

Your Role & Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Lead by example on the sales floor and mentor the team through 1-2-1 sessions.
  • Driving sales: Motivate and support Sales Associates to help customers find their perfect photography products and services.
  • Customer Interaction: Engage with customers, photographers and creatives to understand their needs and recommend the best solution to match their requirements.
  • Product Knowledge within Photo & Video: Engage with customers and guide the team to ensure they understand and interact with branded areas during the shopping journey.
  • Organisation: Ensure the display presence, cleanliness and demo-ready capability of all products and services.
  • Upselling: Promote active upselling techniques, focusing on key customer requirements and presenting a total solution with a focus on KPIs.
  • Standards and Communication: Ensure store standards are met and the team has the necessary tools through briefings and other leadership activities.
  • Understanding the industry and brand: Maintain a high level of product knowledge and stay informed about our own and other brands.
  • Service: Provide excellent service in areas at the House of Photography. Support Managers with other operational tasks as needed, including store opening and closing.
  • KPI Focus: Guide your team through key performance indicators and ensure they understand the performance metrics.

  • Photography / Print & Film Knowledge: A strong understanding of the industry.

  • Initiative and ownership: Take the lead and make an impact in a fast-paced retail environment.
