This position is for a mechanically inclined person who must be able to perform all duties of a Pool Maintenance Technician position and Opening Crew Leader.

  • Must have own tools.
  • Must be able to make basic repairs to the pool and surrounding areas, including deck and minor cement patches.
  • Must be able to perform Deck‑o‑Seal, tile and coping repairs.
  • Must be able to repair and replace underground leaks and lines; replace a pool skimmer or core a pool wall.
  • Must start pools on openings and perform all duties of Opening Crew Leader and Pool Maintenance Technician.
  • Must close pools for the winter.
  • Must make minor repairs to the system and pool.
  • Must run a computer water test.
  • Must replace equipment such as pumps, filters, multiport valves, suction manifolds, assorted valves, and system piping.
  • Must swim or dive in a pool to make minor patches to the pool surface and assist in pressure checks of pool lines.
  • Must dye test pool shell for leaks (light switch, wall fitting, cracks in the shell, main drain cups, hydrostatic relief plugs, etc.).
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License and tools (company provides service truck).
  • Knowledge of plumbing.
  • Measure all new liner replacements, spa cover, and winter safety covers.
  • Measure all safety fence jobs.
  • Make and diagnose any and all repairs to all filter systems including pump, filters, heaters, and ancillary equipment such as ozonators, salt generators, chlorinators, all piping, plumbing, valves, manifolds; diagnose and repair all electronic controls.
  • Perform all new pool start‑up and indoctrinations.
  • Help with estimates and sales.
  • Assist the customer service representative by speaking to customers with technical questions in the office and on the road.

Compensation: $35.00 per hour
