Working in association with a privately-owned property Investment Company owning a unique portfolio of freehold office, residential, hotel, retail and leisure properties based in London, we are looking to find a talented, proactive Management Accountant to join their finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high performing business within one of the UK's most competitive markets. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, this role will provide the successful candidate with a great opportunity to utilise and expand their knowledge. The position is full-time office based at their prestigious Canary Wharf location; they have a great work/life balance with a relaxed culture and genuine 9-5.30pm hours.
About the Role - Role Overview
- Preparing management accounts from books of prime entry.
- Preparing accounting journals.
- Dealing with intercompany reconciliations.
- Assisting with year-end audit.
- Preparing / assisting with the preparation of bank covenant reports.
- Preparation of VAT returns.
- Proactively resolving queries.
- Providing ongoing support for the existing Finance team.
Personal Qualities, Skills & Attributes
- A qualified / part-qualified accountant, strong candidates who are qualified by experience may also be considered with relevant Property backgrounds.
- Accounting experience in a similar role / industry.
- Possess strong time management skills.
- Exposure to VAT treatment in property sector.
- Exposure to Service charge accounting.
- Possess good IT skills, including Excel (Advanced).
- Be able to work effectively as part of a team and under own initiative.
- Demonstrate very good written and verbal communication skills.
- Be punctual and work efficiently.
