We’re looking for a talented Cloud Solutions Architect to join our Azure Team at Infinigate, playing a pivotal role in designing and delivering cutting‑edge Azure Data Services and Microsoft Fabric solutions. Acting as a technical expert and trusted advisor, you’ll work at the intersection of pre‑sales and delivery—partnering closely with sales teams, customers, and stakeholders to architect innovative, scalable solutions that maximise the value of cloud investments.

From shaping high‑level designs and guiding customers on their Azure journeys, through to hands‑on implementation and service innovation, this is a highly visible role where you’ll influence both customer success and the evolution of our professional services portfolio, all while contributing to a culture of knowledge‑sharing, continuous improvement, and technical excellence. We are pleased to offer this position as a hybrid role, based 3 days per week at our Fareham office and optional, 2 days from home.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Technical Pre‑Sales: Responsible for proactively assisting with recommendations and delivery of Infinigate’s solutions to its customers maximising customer satisfaction and revenue growth. When assigned, engage with the sales organisation including technical pre‑sales activity to assist, promote and recommend the correct solutions for customers where necessary. Support the Infinigate new‑business bid process and where necessary work as part of the implementation team ensuring project process and delivery is implemented accordingly. Responsible for the post‑sale activity where solution design and production of the final Statement of Work for the partner or customer is required, to ensure a fully scoped project is agreed and executed upon.
  • Technical Delivery: Produce own Statement of Work for identified engagements for peer review and all relevant agreed documentation in the post‑sale process when assigned, to ensure a project is scoped, agreed and executed upon.
  • Data Solution Delivery: Design, build, and optimize data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric and Azure services like Synapse or Databricks. Ensure solutions are scalable and efficient for data ingestion, storage, and transformation across OneLake and other data stores.
  • Microsoft Fabric Implementation: Implement end‑to‑end Azure Data Fabric solutions including Lakehouses, Data Warehouses, and Real‑Time Analytics components.
  • Data Modeling & Quality: Develop and maintain data models and curated datasets that meet business requirements. Implement data validation, quality checks, and monitoring for pipeline reliability, troubleshooting issues and optimizing performance to meet SLAs. To be involved in the delivery of technical deployments, deliver assigned tasks within customer projects on time and within budget to agreed standards.
  • Service Design: For assigned products and services assist with the design, creation and maintenance of the set‑up and professional services within the portfolio.
  • Other: Responsible for adhering to and promoting best practice within the team, mentoring and training junior members of staff where necessary to help with the development, breadth and scale of the department. Keep up to date with best practice in the key service solutions. Suggest and recommend changes to the business and processes to improve the performance of Professional and Managed Services within Infinigate. Maintain high quality in delivery and sponsor continuous improvement. Own, maintain and adhere to all elements of the relevant Company’s ISO standards.

  • At least three current Microsoft Associate‑level certifications
  • Minimum 3 years’ hands‑on experience in data engineering, BI, or analytics (Azure‑focused consulting)
  • Strong knowledge of core Microsoft technologies, especially Office 365
  • Proven experience in technical sales or pre‑sales of Microsoft/cloud solutions
  • Level 200 (or equivalent) knowledge across Microsoft cloud technologies (M365, Dynamics, EMS)
  • Proven delivery of data warehousing or big data projects in client‑facing roles
  • Exposure to ISO27001, ISO9001/QMS, and ITIL/ISO20000 environments
  • Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203) – strongly preferred
  • Fabric Analytics/Data Engineer Associate (DP-600) – highly desirable
  • Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) – beneficial for BI integration
  • Additional Azure/Data Platform certifications (e.g. Solutions Architect, AI) or Fabric credentials
  • Experience mentoring junior team members

£75,000 – £80,000 salary per annum + Variable Commission. 25 days annual leave rising to 28 days with length of service, plus bank holidays. Day off on your birthday. Electric Car Lease Scheme.
