Role Purpose

Join the Infinigate Group AI and Data Team as a Lead Automation Engineer - Power Platform, where you will design, develop and support scalable automation solutions that drive business value.

Working in a collaborative and innovative environment, you will lead the delivery of automation and low-code solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, Microsoft 365 and Azure services, while setting technical standards, mentoring colleagues and ensuring solutions are secure, scalable and user-focused.

We are pleased to offer this permanent opportunity as a fulltime role, based hybrid from one of our 4 office locations (Fareham, London, Woking or South Cerney) - 3 days in office, 2 working from home.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development and deployment of automation solutions using Microsoft Power Platform to address priority business use cases
  • Analyse business processes, identify automation opportunities and translate requirements into robust, scalable and maintainable technical solutions
  • Design and build solutions using Power Automate, Power Apps, Dataverse, Power BI, Copilot Studio, Share Point, Teams and Microsoft 365 connectors
  • Define automation design standards for reliability, exception handling, monitoring, performance, security, data privacy and maintainability
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, data teams, IT, security and operations teams to deliver automation solutions that are practical and adopted by users
  • Apply software engineering and application lifecycle management best practices including solution packaging, environment strategy, source control, testing, deployment pipelines and documentation
  • General Skills
  • Strong hands-on experience with Power Automate cloud flows, approval workflows, scheduled automations, event-driven processes and integration with business systems
  • Experience building canvas apps and model-driven apps, including Dataverse data modelling, forms, views, business rules, security roles and user experience design
  • Practical experience integrating Power Platform with APIs, Azure services, SQL databases, Share Point, Dynamics 365, Microsoft Graph or other enterprise systems
  • Ability to design secure and governed Power Platform environments, including DLP policies, environment management, connector strategy and centre of excellence practices
  • Experience with Power BI reporting, dashboards and operational insight to measure automation performance, adoption and business impact
  • Familiarity with Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Azure Key Vault, service principals, managed identities or comparable integration and security capabilities
  • Experience with Dev Ops practices including Git, automated testing, CI/CD, release management, solution versioning, monitoring and incident support
  • Ability to use AI-assisted development tools and Microsoft Copilot capabilities responsibly to improve productivity, documentation and solution quality
  • Proven track record delivering automation, workflow, application or integration solutions into production environments for business operations, analytics, service delivery or decision support use cases
