Infinigate Cloud are seeking an exceptional Management Accountant to join their developing Finance team based in Fareham. This opportunity invites driven part-qualified or fully qualified Management Accountants to apply at a pivotal growth period offering the prospect of skillset enhancement through systems/process implementation and a chance to make your mark in an accelerating industry and company. This role works closely with the Senior Management Accountant and wider finance team to ensure the company reports financial results accurately and includes compliance with accounting standards, policies, and regulations. If you are a part-qualified Management Accountant, we are pleased to offer, included in your contract, study support to complete your finance qualifications (ACA, ACCA or CIMA). This is a hybrid opportunity with 3 days in office, 2 working from home.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support the preparation of the monthly management accounts, analyse variances against budget, forecast and prior periods, and present findings to finance team.
  • Support the finance team in the provision of financial advice and guidance to other departments in the organisation with regard to financial performance, risks, opportunities, and best practices.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and cost savings initiatives to enhance efficiency and profitability.
  • Review and reconcile accounts and transactions, and ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting records and documentation, and adhere to the organization's policies and procedures.
  • Maintain internal controls and audit trails, and ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and regulations.
  • Assist with external audits and tax compliance, and liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and other external parties.
  • Research and update accounting standards, policies, and regulations, and keep abreast of the latest developments and trends in the field.
  • Perform inter-company reconciliations and eliminations, and ensure consistency and accuracy of financial data across different entities and systems.

General Skills

  • 5+ years experience working in a finance role, with experience in management accounting.
  • Professional certifications (e.g. ACA, ACCA, or CIMA), or on a path towards completing one of these qualifications.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills – proficient with the Microsoft suite of applications.
  • Proficient in UK GAAP and experience in handling auditors.
  • Confident communicating in English language.
