As a Customer Applications Engineer at Infineon, you'll have the opportunity to work with leading-edge AI companies, driving innovation and pushing the boundaries of power management. Infineon’s Power and Sensor Systems – Power ICs product line is pioneering the development of sophisticated DC‑DC digital multiphase controllers, integrated power stages, and Point‑of‑load (POL) products for the computing, networking, communications, and artificial intelligence (AI) markets. You'll be working with a talented team to design and deliver cutting‑edge power solutions that enable the world's most powerful AI.
Your Role
- Support evaluation/demo board build, rework and testing.
- Conduct board rework to replace controller ICs, power stages and SMD components.
- Place components order and prepare assemble kit for demo board build.
- Assist Applications Engineers in new product evaluation and demo board testing.
- Utilize equipment such as digital multimeters (DMMs), oscilloscopes, function generators, and network analyzers for testing and debugging circuits.
- Prepare and test demo boards for customer request.
- Prepare detailed test reports using Microsoft Office tools to document results and observations.
- Support lab equipment calibration and maintenance.
Qualifications and Skills
- BSEE or Associate Degree in Electrical/Electronic Technology or Engineering.
- Good knowledge of passive, active components and simple analog/digital circuits.
- Experience in using lab equipment including DMM, Oscilloscope, Function Generator, and Network Analyzer.
- Experience in soldering SMT components.
- Good computing skill in using Microsoft Office programs to generate test reports.
- Familiarity with schematic capture and PCB layout software is a plus.
