Overview
In this role you will shape cutting-edge CPU subsystems and NVM solutions for automotive applications within Infineon’s Research & Development team. You’ll drive architectural decisions, collaborate across disciplines, and apply advanced design techniques to deliver robust IP with a focus on safety and security. This is a hands-on position with a strong impact on semiconductor technology and automotive-grade digital design. You’ll work with international teams to push the boundaries of digital electronics and contribute to Infineon’s mission of greener, smarter mobility.
Responsibilities
- Implement and/or review subblocks of CPU subsystems or non-volatile memories (NVM)
- Contribute to the microarchitecture specification and definition for CPU subsystems or NVM in automotive
- Ensure digital design meets functional safety and security requirements
- Drive technical decisions for your functional area and execute implementations
- Collaborate closely with hard macro designers, verification, digital design and firmware engineers to produce thoroughly verified IP
- Create innovative architecture using the latest design techniques and tools
- Provide technical guidance within the organization and support other departments
Key requirements
- Degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering or related field
- At least 8 years of experience defining and implementing complex digital circuits
- Experience in digital design flow including RTL/gate-level simulation, Linting, logic synthesis, STA, UPF (low power design) and DfT
- Proficiency in SystemVerilog or VHDL
- Strong know-how in C and scripting languages like Perl or Python
- Fluency in English (mandatory)
