The Infected Blood Compensation Authority (IBCA) is a new arm’s‑length body set up to administer compensation to people whose lives have been impacted by the infected blood scandal. IBCA will ensure payment is made in recognition of the wrongs experienced by those who have been infected by HIV, Hepatitis B or C, as well as those who love and care for them. They have been frustrated and distressed by the delays in achieving proper recognition, and we must help put this right. We are committed to putting the infected and affected blood community at the centre of every decision we make and every step we take to build our organisation to deliver compensation payments.
The PMO acts as a central hub for delivery excellence and strategic alignment. The core functions of which are governance, progress reporting, risk tracking, and commercial/finance oversight. You’ll be part of a team where your ideas are valued, your expertise is recognised and where you can enhance your project experience. This role would suit someone who is proactive, analytical and confident working with delivery teams and senior stakeholders. You will bring sound judgement, attention to detail and a collaborative approach.
You’ll be successful if you can:
- Coordinate governance processes and produce quality reports for senior leaders
- Interpret and manage workforce data
- Interpret and manage project data
- Support and assure planning, risk and issue management
- Have a meticulous approach to work, with a strong focus on accuracy and consistency across both digital and administrative tasks
Responsibilities:
- Managing the programme’s governance and reporting arrangements, including scheduling and running governance boards and managing reporting processes
- Managing a workforce planning function including recruitment, workforce planning, resource tracking, software allocations
- Secretariat support and meeting coordination – effective coordination and communication across a range of meetings at all business levels, to include scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, accurately capturing and producing minutes including actions and decisions and supporting stakeholder engagement through structured follow-up and action tracking
- Supporting our risk management processes, including regular reporting and escalation into various governance boards
- Assisting with internal and external assurance reviews from review bodies such as National Audit Office
- Information management and triage – manage shared mailboxes and databases, ensuring timely and accurate triage of incoming information
- Act as a primary point of contact, taking ownership of issues and proactively seeking resolutions
- Quality management tasks inline with recognised industry standards eg ISO 9001
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey complex information clearly and concisely
Person specification:
- Experience of working in a PMO team
- Experience of running a workforce planning function including recruitment, workforce planning, resource tracking, onboarding and offboarding of staff, software allocations
- Experience of running a secretariat function and experience of working with senior boards and stakeholders in a corporate or project role
