I have just licensed Salesforce for my telecoms company and now need the environment configured so it actually mirrors the way we sell, provision, bill and support our services. The org is still vanilla, so the first step will be to map my customer lifecycle—lead, opportunity, order, service activation, ongoing support—and translate that into custom objects, fields, record types, flows and approval processes that make sense for a telecom operation.
Data is scattered across spreadsheets and a legacy billing portal; I will export it for you, but I need it cleansed, deduped and migrated into Salesforce so every customer record is complete and reliable from day one. Once the data model is solid, I want dashboards and reports that give me real-time visibility into sales pipeline, churn, ARPU and ticket volume. If you can connect Salesforce to external tools (for example a billing API, a support platform or a marketing system) that will be a plus, because I eventually want a single pane of glass rather than multiple logins.
Deliverables should be clear and testable:
- Configured Salesforce org with telecom-specific objects, automation and page layouts
- Successful data migration with spot-checked accuracy against source files
- At least five core dashboards: sales, provisioning status, open tickets, revenue, churn
- Basic integration proof-of-concept for one external system (API or packaged connector)
- Admin guide and a one-hour walkthrough call so my team knows how to maintain everything
If you have rolled out Salesforce in a telecom or subscription-based environment before, please mention it; I value experience with objects like Product/Price Book, CPQ, Service Cloud, Flow Builder and API integrations. I’ll provide sandbox access immediately and am ready to start as soon as you can outline your approach and timeline.
