We are looking for an experienced IT infrastructure project manager to join our expanding ambitious and motivated UK team, supporting one of our leading defense contractor customers in IT systems projects as a full-time Inetum employee.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading project deliveries from gather requirements to operational handover.
There may be multiple projects in-flight at any one time.
The systems involved are considered highly sensitive and there will be a strong focus on security throughout the delivery lifecycle and beyond.
A UK National eligible for SC clearance will be required.
- You'll have the following responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements with a view to refining into a comprehensive set of project deliverables for each workstream, agreed with stakeholders.
- Manage the project charter, requirements traceability matrix, comms, risk, and change management plan amongst other artifacts.
- Maintain project governance to align with the appropriate business stakeholders defining and delivering against reporting frameworks.
- Develop & manage key stakeholders and supplier relationships
- Prepare and maintain project schedules and risks, including dependencies, resource plan.
- Ensure best practice project management methodologies and tools are understood and utilized, coaching as appropriate.
- Proactively manage risk & issues in accordance with RAID principles.
- Effectively manage change, change tracking and stakeholder expectations.
- Responsible for ensuring the compliance of IT projects to applicable regulatory bodies, security principles and regulations as defined by the customer.
- Conduct drumbeat status meetings, communicating project status, issues & risks to management and key stakeholders’
- Drive continuous improvement including product knowledge, Saa S adoption and best practice project management.
- You'll have the following skills & experience
- HND/Degree in Business Information Technology or relevant experience
- 5+ years provable track record in leading projects, from conception to delivery.
- Strong working knowledge of project management tools (Microsoft Project, Trello …)
- PMP / PRINCE2/APM certification
- Solid communications & organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management
- Excellent documentation and written communication skills
- Service transition experience, guiding the project through lifecycle gates and particularly transition of the deliverables from project to operations mode.
- SC clearance is required. Current/previous certification would be an advantage although the clearance process will be initiated for the successful candidate.
- Location
Full time site based in Stevenage initially. Hybrid working negotiable after 3-6 months depending on stakeholder and team relationship building.
