Currently searching for a HR Manager for the UK, for a 40-employee entity, acting as the sole HR point of contact, responsible for end-to-end HR operations across the UK & Ireland, with hands-on delivery across the employee lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities- HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle and Engagement
- Prepare, issue and file contracts, offer letters and MSAs
- Manage onboarding and offboarding (P45s, documentation, HR records, IT access, hardware)
- Manage termination of contracts
- Act as first point of contact via the HR inbox, responding to employee queries
- Support day-to-day employee relations, escalating when required
- Maintain UK & Ireland HR policies, ensuring accessibility via Teams
- Support employees and managers in changes
- Propose initiatives to increase employee engagement
- Ensure compliance with company policies and local regulations
- Record and monitor sickness absence in the tool, including statutory thresholds
- Maintain holiday records and respond to employee requests
- Ensure accurate and compliant personnel data across HR systems
- Collate monthly payroll inputs and liaise with payroll provider and Finance
- Administer pensions (UK & Ireland) and private medical insurance (BUPA)
- Maintain and update employee data in the HR system and government portal
- Source candidates and conduct interviews for lower-seniority UK roles and make offers to selected candidates
- Coordinate interviews with candidates, agencies and hiring managers
- Contribute to the resource planning and update the appropriate documents
- Contribute to the salary and bonus review
- Update salary and bonus changes in the HR system
- Process disciplinary actions
- Contribute to the talent review process
- Support the identification of training needs and their deployment
- Proven experience in a generalist HR role, ideally in a small/mid-size organization and in the IT sector
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law (Ireland exposure preferred)
- Experience with payroll, benefits and HR systems (SuccessFactors desirable)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Highly organised, detail-oriented and comfortable operating autonomously
