Your role: The Product Specialist will work closely with all members of the Product Team as well as the wider Commercial and Engineering departments. Researching, challenging and implementing strategic changes to the Grenadier offering, defining the Product portfolio. They will support the Product Lead, acting as the voice of the customer in technical / engineering discussions and work closely alongside the Pricing Lead and Commercial Programmes Manager to take global offering updates live to the customer. The Product Specialist will also be responsible for maintaining and updating customer facing assets, including car configurator and vehicle documents (manuals, etc) to ensure the correct product portfolio is communicated at all times to all markets.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Competitor benchmarking; reporting on specification, pricing and strategies
- Analysis of customer and market research to help shape the strategic positioning of the product to customers, partners and influencers
- Support product definition and development, working with engineering, to ensure technical and commercial requirements are aligned
- Reporting and analysis of key market/competitor sales volumes and channels
- Enhancement of the product offering to marketing, arming sales operations with the knowledge and tools to deliver planned sales
- Support performance specifications, cost and price parameters, market applications and sales estimates
- Supporting the management of the entire product life cycle – from strategic planning to tactical activities
- Management of online assets including car configurator, technical specifications, manuals
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- Minimum 1-2 years' experience in Product Management or automotive-based role
- Experience in agency/supplier management essential
- Evidence of working with multiple markets/regions outside the UK would be beneficial
- Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal
- Strong office software/computer skills
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Commercial acumen
- High level of customer orientation
- Creative thinker and problem solver, with proactive can do attitude
- Ability to anticipate business opportunities and creative innovative solutions
- Experience in working in a fast paced and adaptable environment
