About Our Opportunity
We are looking for a Plumber to join our busy Facilities & Interfaces maintenance team. The successful applicant will provide plumbing maintenance cover to Grangemouth O&P site, including assembly, installation and repair of pipes, fittings and fixtures. They will also provide a maintenance service to building heating, water and drainage systems according to specifications and legislative requirements.
Key Accountabilities
- Ensure effective Plumbing repairs are carried out safely and in line with agreed priorities and plans.
- Identify, address and report any issues with the potential to affect scope, progress, quality or cost.
- Perform all Plumbing functions within the site to meet the required quality, efficiency and relevant technical standards.
- Scope and estimate work, prior to work commencing.
- Participate in all site HSE initiatives, systems and controls e.g. P.T.W, Risk Assessments, COSHH.
- Assist with the ongoing site wide Legionella testing process.
About You
- SVQ Level 3 in plumbing or equivalent, with working knowledge or experience.
- Ability to work under pressure, be proficient in computer systems, be able to network effectively with a strong bias for action.
- Ability to contribute to a team and assist the other trades persons within the Facilities & Interfaces trades team when required.
- High level of understanding of Legionella with regards to avoidance and mitigation in water systems.
- Ability to maintain calorifiers used for heating in buildings.
- UK Driving licence.
- Willing to accommodate some periods of personal inconvenience to support the delivery of planned and unplanned work and the effective timely resolution of unforeseen events.
