This position within our Finance function is required to assist our team through a busy period. The role-holder will shadow individuals within the team to understand how to perform certain tasks and these tasks will be delegated to cover areas where additional support is required. The role holder will consequently learn how to perform several cross‑functional tasks across the team. The main purpose of this role is to provide business analysis and support to enable the overall team to improve decision making and deliver the business targets.
Key Accountabilities
- Provide accurate and timely monthly finance reports to key customers.
- Support the team to translate the annual plan and budget into financial and non‑financial targets so the plan can be monitored at all levels.
- Participate in producing the monthly operational financial forecast to provide the latest view on the predicted results for the year and/or next 3 months.
- Support the team to review and challenge forecast inputs provided by functional managers to ensure accuracy, integrity and improved forecast accuracy.
- Provide commentary and explanations on variances to budget for specific financial categories with the P&L to ensure a clear understanding of the results.
- Develop and maintain a continuous improvement approach to financial management and business process issues to add maximum value to business decision‑making processes.
- Goods receipting of purchase orders after relevant checks are conducted.
- Task delegation based on the needs of the team across areas such as logistics, capex, energy & utilities and cost reporting.
About You
Required
- Finance / Accountancy / Business qualification e.g. HNC/HND or experience working in a Finance function.
- Good IT skills, especially Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Analytical mindset and problem‑solving approach.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Energetic, enthusiastic and self‑motivated.
- Ability to solve problems in a logical manner.
- Adaptability to undertake various tasks across the team.

- A working knowledge of SAP.
