About Our Opportunity
The purpose of the role is to deliver and maintain an Electrical Power Distribution and Generation asset care policy that supports safe operation, maintenance and management of the electrical power distribution network. It also ensures operation of the Electrical Power Generation and Distribution systems are carried out to meet INEOS Policies, Procedures and Legislation.
Key Accountabilities
- Define and implement asset care policy for all Electrical Power Distribution and Generation equipment to ensure delivery of ongoing asset reliability, integrity and cost commitments.
- Specify and audit all inspection activities to ensure continual legal compliance.
- Carry out the duties of Electrical Duty Holder as defined in the Electricity at Work Regulations (1989).
- Maintain asset spares and equipment holding to maximise asset reliability and to drive maintenance and TAR efficiency/cost performance.
- Provide discipline expertise and root cause analysis in troubleshooting asset vulnerabilities to minimise impact on the short through long term operating plan.
- Provide discipline expertise for all Electrical power Distribution and Generation improvement projects and act as formal discipline sign off to ensure required level of service delivery.
- Responsible for allocated elements of Electrical Power Distribution projects: engineering design, design appraisal, purchasing, installation and commissioning as appropriate.
- Ensure correct overall electrical Power Distribution and Generation spend to meet asset requirements within available budget and where required, drive appropriate prioritisation.
- Specify TAR work scope requirements (in accordance with asset strategy) and assist in execution to support delivery of safe, on time and to budget TAR's.
About You
Required:
- Will have an Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent, leading to be a Chartered Engineer or be operating at Chartered Engineer level with significant electrical experience in the process, heavy manufacturing industry.
- Shall have specialist knowledge of the operation, commissioning, demolition and maintenance of High and Low voltage electrical systems.
- Will have the skills required to manage teams of HV network operations and maintenance staff, give guidance to I/E Asset engineers and engineering population, have proven operational and strong decision making skills.
- Knowledge of theory and practice of managing equipment reliability systems and processes e.g. asset care.
- Strong understanding of discipline legislative and technology requirements and demonstrated ability to appropriately translate to equipment operation, inspection/maintenance regimes.
- Skilled in troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
Desired:
- Experience as a Senior Authorised Person up to and including 33kV multi-point switching, and issuing safety documentation for work on such systems.
- Electrical design experience including power earthing, lightning protection, cable sizing and protection coordination.
- Project management experience of electrical projects, including LV/HV installations, substation design and construction.
