Job Purpose
Operate the assigned process plant on a shift‑to‑shift basis producing required volumes of product in a safe and cost‑effective manner.
- Key Accountabilities
- Operate plant safely and within prescribed operating procedures producing required product output and mix to meet demand.
- Adjust operating parameters to maintain efficiency of the plant and to accommodate fluctuations in supply and demand.
- Communicate effectively with other areas of the plant to ensure close coordination between different areas.
- Issue Permits To Work, COTIS, Food Safety, IPIC, Fuse Removal, Work Control Sheets ensuring that all work is completed to COMAH standards.
- Sample and test product, making adjustments where required to ensure the product meets specification.
- Undertake maintenance as required to maintain plant and machinery.
- Complete shift reports providing accurate information.
- Create work orders via SAP.
- Manage sodium ferrocyanide stock control.
- Deal with bulk PDV, UV, brine and granular silo loading.
Skills & Experience
- NVQ level 3 or equivalent preferred.
- Previous process industry experience preferred.
- Experience with SCADA and DCS controls.
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
- Analysis and problem solving.
- Mechanical appreciation.
