The Role
Join a highly specialised engineering team developing advanced electrolyser technology for global markets. You’ll play a key role in improving product performance, reliability, and manufacturing capability while ensuring full compliance with SHE and engineering standards.
What You’ll Do
- Lead mechanical design and manufacturing process development for electrolyser technologies
- Support delivery of major projects, including BiChlor & Alkali Water Electrolysis (AWE) and wider capital programmes
- Drive continuous improvement to enhance quality, reduce costs, and increase capacity
- Provide engineering support to in‑house manufacturing, pilot plants, and global supply chain partners
- Contribute to capital projects involving plant expansion, refurbishment, and process optimisation
- Support development and implementation of manufacturing processes including tooling, automation, and plant capability upgrades
- Work closely with suppliers to improve quality, performance, and production capability
- Identify and implement cost reduction and value engineering opportunities
- Carry out design analysis, risk assessments, and testing programmes
- Support the refurbishment and development of new and existing technologies
- Contribute to customer projects, ensuring technical accuracy and successful delivery
What We’re Looking For
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Strong experience in manufacturing, fabrication, and precision engineering environments
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as PED/PSSR, PUWER, LOLER, Machinery Directive
- Experience working with quality system (e.g. ISO 9001)
- Commercial awareness to support EBITDA growth
- Proven problem‑solving skills (e.g. FMEA, root cause analysis)
- Ability to work effectively across teams and with external partners
- Self‑motivated with the tenacity to see tasks and projects to completion
