Job Purpose
To manage and control the on-site operational activities of the contracted services providers, to ensure delivery of a SHE‑compliant, cost‑effective and operationally efficient service which meets the planned and emergent needs of maintenance, task, project, or TAR work across multiple business units on Runcorn Site, MCP, Salt and Brine & Water.
Key Accountabilities
- Manage and improve the contractor supplier activities on‑site on a day‑to‑day basis to minimise SHE incidents and maximise productivity.
- Ensure contractor compliance with Site rules and regulations, UK legal requirements and INEOS behavioural and process safety principals.
- Manage contractor performance to ensure that all work and services provided are acceptable, steer towards service improvement and always achieve value for money.
- Audit and validate the quality of work and chair regular performance meetings with the contracts service providers.
- Ensure the delivery of services is to contract terms, promote better cost management and prevent contract leakage.
- Assist in reconciling the cost for work executed versus original authorised costs.
- Manage the communication process with the contract managers and service provider to maximise database workflow and resource availability.
- Provide a service that aligns to individual business areas and links to the ongoing site activities to fully support Runcorn Site operations and achieves agreed KPI's.
- Perform gap analysis reviews and develop the necessary action plan when comparing supplier performances with industry best practice.
Skills & Experience
- 5 years experience in a maintenance / engineering related role or NVQ 3 in a related engineering discipline.
- Experience in contractor management or purchasing & supply is essential.
- Relevant knowledge of Industry Legislation.
- Relevant knowledge of internal standards and procedures.
- Working knowledge of industrial agreements.
