INEOS Energy

INEOS Energy is the energy division of INEOS. We produce and trade oil, gas, power and liquefied natural gas (LNG). We operate offshore assets across the Danish and UK North Sea, onshore assets in South Texas, and a newly acquired deepwater portfolio in the deepwater of the Gulf of America – alongside low carbon investments, including Project Greensand our carbon storage project in the Danish North Sea, that will help sustain the business through the energy transition.

INEOS Energy Trading operates as the single face to the Gas, LNG, Power, Carbon, and Crude Oil commodity markets for INEOS. Our core mission is to fully monetise INEOS Energy's equity oil and gas production across Europe and the US. Beyond this, the Trading and Business Development teams are tasked with originating and developing third-party physical business. We also support the wider INEOS group by leveraging our carbon trading capabilities and supplying crude oil, LNG, gas, and power to INEOS's industrial base for deals on pipeline capacity, trucks, storage tanks, and shipping.

Our Middle Office function acts as a key control point between Trading, Risk and Finance, ensuring all trading transactions are accurately confirmed, recorded and aligned between internal systems and counterparties. As our trading activity and counterparty base continues to grow, we are seeking a detail-oriented Trade Confirmation Analyst to join the team and support the accuracy and integrity of our trade confirmation process.

The Trade Confirmation Analyst is responsible for ensuring all energy trading transactions are accurately confirmed, recorded and aligned between internal systems and counterparties. The role supports the middle-office function, acting as a key control point between Trading, Risk and Finance teams across Gas, Power, LNG, Oil and Emissions.

The Analyst generates, validates and issues trade confirmations, reconciles trade details between the ETRM/CTRM system and counterparty confirmations, and tracks trade lifecycle events including amendments, novations and cancellations. The role requires close daily collaboration with Front Office, Middle Office, Back Office and external counterparties to maintain accurate, timely and well-controlled trade records.

  • Liaise directly with counterparties to resolve discrepancies or disputes in trade details; maintain strong working relationships with external partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Work with the Front Office to clarify trade inputs and deal structures; support Middle and Back Office teams with accurate P&L and settlement information.
  • Validate deals in the ETRM/CTRM system; track trade lifecycle events including amendments, novations and cancellations, ensuring these are correctly reflected and re-confirmed where required.
  • Support audit and compliance checks related to trade confirmations, providing documentation and evidence as required.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to confirmation processes and controls; support automation and efficiency initiatives within the confirmation workflow.
