The Sales Operations Lead is responsible for overseeing and optimising all sales operations processes, including tracking and reconciling retailer bonuses. The role also involves coordinating with third-party providers, such as registration authorities, to ensure that all system updates are efficiently launched with minimal impact on daily business operations. The ultimate goal is to streamline sales operations, improve customer satisfaction, and support the achievement of the company’s global sales objectives.
Duties of the Sales Operations Lead:
- Supports the management of the Demo Programme by providing regular reporting and analysis to ensure the correct vehicle mix and volume of demonstrators are present in the network and the customer satisfaction of test drives is high.
- Responsible for ensuring internal fleet, prototype units are registered and insured in a timely and accurate manner.
- Liaises with local authorities to ensure all vehicle registration systems are working efficiently and any future system updates are planned and launched on time.
- Manages the performance of sales operations including invoicing for retail partners, customer contracts, payment requests and any relevant documentation.
- Responsible for managing master data quality in SAP for the sales team (e.g. updating sales margins/bonuses).
- Supports with producing and publishing bulletins and communications to the retailer network for the global sales team.
- Documentation of Sales Operations processes to be used by the Regional Sales teams and wider organisation.
- Ensure the vehicle configuration of our order bank is up to date and is maintained in line with latest feature list specifications (i.e., mass-update of existing orders).
- Responsible for the reconciliation and payment of sales margins, commissions, and bonuses to the retailer network.
For our Sales Operations Lead we are looking for:
- Experience working within the automotive industry/OEM is essential.
- Ideally worked within a Sales Operations role previously.
- A good understanding of the retail, wholesale and production planning.
- Knowledge of Global markets.
- Previous experience with SAP systems is desirable.
