Your role: As a Logistics Operations Specialist for the Outbound Logistics function, you will support the end-to-end distribution of finished vehicles from our production plant in France to major global destinations. This role is critical to ensuring seamless, cost-efficient, and high-quality delivery performance, while continuously improving logistics operations through data analysis, cross-functional coordination, and active participation in strategic project implementations.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Plan and monitor daily vehicle distribution via road and sea from the production plant and ports to major global destinations.
- Operate and maintain logistics systems such as TMS and VMS, ensuring timely and accurate transport bookings, real-time visibility, documentation and compliance with transport regulations.
- Analyse logistics performance data (e.g. delivery service, compound storage levels, damage claims, and costs) to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities, reduce lead times, and optimize service levels across the distribution network.
- Prepare regular reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders and support supplier performance reviews by developing new KPIs and providing accurate, actionable insights.
- Assist management with budget reviews and cost tracking related to logistics operations.
- Support the freight billing process by validating invoices against service contracts and agreed freight rates.
- Assist with logistics project rollouts, including new systems, network improvements, and process enhancements.
- Contribute to testing, training, documentation, and change management activities.
- Collaborate with internal departments such as production, sales, yard operations, IT, customs, and dealer networks to align logistics activities, resolve issues, and support overall delivery performance.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in automotive logistics or finished vehicle distribution.
- Strong analytical and data handling skills using Microsoft Excel and/or Power BI.
- Proficiency in SAP S/4HANA or similar ERP systems, and Transport Management Systems (TMS).
- Experience in freight billing and invoice reconciliation, including validation of carrier charges and resolution of discrepancies.
- Strong communication and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Excellent organizational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to service excellence.
- A continuous improvement orientation: experience with Lean, Kaizen, or similar methodologies is a strong plus.
- Fluency in English is required; French and German are considered strong advantages.
