About Our Opportunity
We are looking for an I/E Technician in our KG Asset at our site in Grangemouth to install, maintain, repair and assist with the integrity of all instrument/electrical equipment and associated equipment to achieve a safe working environment. The post-holder will deliver the planned and corrective maintenance tasks allocated by the Maintenance Team Leader (I/E) to achieve asset targets for SHE, costs, availability, reliability, integrity and quality.
Key Accountabilities
- Observe/apply all health and safety rules, procedures, standards and behaviours at all times.
- Inspect/test Instrument/Electrical Control and Safety equipment/systems as directed within safety/operational/technical procedures and technical manuals to ensure all potential faults are identified in advance of failure.
- By utilising drawings/technical manuals and equipment history, investigate/examine faulty equipment as directed in order to accurately ascertain the root cause of faults, identify/implement corrective actions/repairs and make recommendations to prevent recurrence.
- Ensure that spare parts required for each job are available and liaise with others to remedy any shortfall.
- Accurately record all work carried out/issues encountered to provide future personnel with an accurate history of work carried out.
- Promote and undertake predictive/preventive maintenance of equipment and asset care programmes.
- Demonstrate professionalism and positive attitudes/behaviours at all times, offering clear/constructive feedback and being flexible in support of the Asset.
- Participate in equipment improvement teams, offering first-hand technical input and carry out actions to ensure delivery.
- Actively assist and support contractors/vendors to ensure timely progression of maintenance activities.
- Work productively and assist other members of the maintenance team as required, to expedite repair of equipment and deliver against the maintenance schedule/plan.
- Promptly report to Team Leader in respect of any delays to and/or significant issues identified in allocated tasks to maximize personal/team productivity, improve the maintenance process and improve asset availability/reliability/efficiency.

You may experience occasional periods of inconvenience to support Major Projects, planned and unplanned operational outages.
About You
Required:
- Be educated to HNC/NVQ level 3 in a relevant discipline or equivalent work place experience.
- Have experience with Permit to Work Systems.
- Be familiar with Oil and Gas industry rules, procedures and standards.
- Be professional at all times with a positive attitude.
- Be a clear and courteous communicator providing constructive feedback to improve the process.
- Have attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work.
- Be flexible with the ability to work safely and effectively under pressure.
- Be proficient in the use of certain computer systems (CMMS-Maximo, e-mail, MS Word/Excel etc).
- Be a team player who takes responsibility for delivering their role and proactively seeks out their next task/challenge.
- Hold any of the following training certificates: COMAH, DSEAR, PUWER Awareness, BS7671 – IEE Wiring Regulations & Inspection and Testing, Principles of Electrical Safety (LV/HV protection and switching), UPS, Electronic motor control systems, Lighting and Electric Heat Tracing systems, BS EN 61511 – Functional Safety TUV Technician (Safety Instrumented Systems), CompEx ExF, 01-04, 05-06, 12, 14, Instrument systems capable of measuring/controlling pressure/level/flow/temperature/speed, Fire and Gas Detection systems, Swagelok Small Bore Tube Fitting Installation, Experience with Emerson FIELDVUE/Metso Valveguard.
