Reporting to the Electrical Engineering Team Leader, the post holder will provide Electrical Engineering support to the Dalmeny and Hound Point (DHP) assets.
Daily Responsibilities
- Responsible for maintaining asset and protective systems integrity (Ineos 20P).
- Electrical Engineering focal point for the DHP site: day‑to‑day operations, breakdowns, Turnarounds (TAR) and site outage events.
- Ensure secure delivery of Turnaround / Outage scope within safety, timescales and budgets.
- Identify, define and develop work packages relevant to the Electrical Engineering discipline and act as single point of accountability for identified scopes.
- Deliver improvements in plant reliability and defect elimination.
- Act as job responsible engineer for Management of Change (MOC) documentation related to electrical scopes.
- Provide support to multi‑discipline scopes and assist in preparation and implementation.
- Participate in TAR scope definition; provide technical input to evaluate risks and opportunities of proposed scopes.
- Define and source materials and equipment for electrical work packages and issue purchase requisitions.
- Support the maintenance team leader with planned maintenance implementation.
- Offer technical electrical expertise to DHP Maintenance Supervisor and electrical technicians.
- Contribute to planning, logic and resource requirements for electrical engineering elements of the integrated plan.
- Manage works performed on site by designated electrical contractors.
- Perform on‑site commissioning activities associated with electrical discipline to restore the asset to operation post TAR/outage events.
- Ensure all designs, maintenance, modifications and upgrades comply with Ineos FPS and international industry standards.
- Provide technical support and input to GoC (Guidance on Certification) principles.
- Lead or contribute to safety reviews, risk assessments, RCFA sessions and investigations as the electrical engineering focal point for all activity at DHP.
- Provide support in asset engineering during critical needs as required.
- Conduct self‑verification reviews of isolations, switching programs and maintenance procedures to identify areas for improvement.
