Your role

We are looking for a BI Developer to join Global Sales Operations, working alongside the Global Sales Reporting Lead to build and maintain the reporting estate that supports INEOS Automotive's global sales, retailer and customer experience operations.

This is a hands‑on delivery role.

Requirements, stakeholder decisions and go‑live approvals are owned by the Reporting Lead; your focus is turning agreed requirements into robust, well‑modelled Power BI solutions on top of our Snowflake data platform.

You will work across a live portfolio of dashboards spanning leads, order take, handovers, retailer performance, inventory and customer experience.

Our stack is Microsoft Power BI (including composite models over Azure Analysis Services and shared enterprise datasets), Snowflake as the data warehouse, and Power Automate for reporting workflow automation.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading company.

Our commitment to extending data and reporting products and services across the company provides great scope and opportunity to significantly develop and grow your career.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to)

  • Scoping, designing, building, servicing, and supporting all new and existing reports / dashboards within the organisation with the goal of providing robust analytical solutions that support the strategic aims
  • Gathering, inspecting, cleaning, transforming and modelling data with the goal of discovering useful information, suggesting conclusions, and supporting decision‑making
  • Capturing data requirements to design, extend or maintain, logical and physical data models which support new and existing BI initiatives
  • Delivering testing, maintaining test scenarios, user acceptance testing and end user training
  • Responsible for the BI estate and conducting approved technology upgrades, providing technical advice, product information and 1st line support for the BI user community
  • What we are looking for
  • Strong, demonstrable Power BI development skill: data modelling, advanced DAX (filter context, time intelligence, performance), Power Query, and report design
  • Experience with composite models and shared/enterprise datasets (Direct Query to Analysis Services or Power BI datasets), including their limitations around relationships and calculated columns
  • Strong SQL, with the ability to write, test and tune queries and views against a cloud data warehouse (Snowflake preferred)
  • Solid grasp of dimensional modelling (Kimball) and when to solve a problem in the warehouse versus the semantic model
  • Experience administering the Power BI Platform: licensing, security roles and permissions, and workspaces
  • Ability to work from written requirements independently, flag risks early, and respect approval gates on structural model changes
  • Fluent in English, with good verbal and non‑verbal communication skills
  • Desired Experience
  • Experience in managing the Power BI Platform (licencing, security, workspaces)
  • Exposure to SAP‑sourced data (S/4HANA, C4C) and ELT tools such as Dell Boomi
  • Power Automate (or similar) for scheduled data exports and workflow automation
  • Experience in coding with SQL and manipulating large datasets
  • Experience in building data pipelines (extract, transform and load) to transport a wide variety of data types and high volumes of data
  • Experience of developing end to end data solutions using the Microsoft stack namely, Microsoft Fabric.
  • Experience with data platforms such as Snowflake
  • Experience in requirement gathering and report/dashboard design
  • Experience in time and project management using Agile or Waterfall principals
  • Experience in training, presenting, and communicating technical topics to a non‑technical audience at all levels
