Your role: The Sales Operations Manager will lead the global Sales Operations governance framework and provide operational excellence support to all regional Sales Operations Managers. The role ensures consistent execution of sales processes, systems usage, documentation standards, and dealer network compliance across all markets to ensure sales data accuracy, sales process understanding and efficiency. This position serves as the global business owner for the sales systems landscape— including stock visibility tools, sales order management platforms, SAP Vehicle Management System (VMS), invoicing workflows, and supporting technologies—to guarantee accurate, efficient, and controlled vehicle sales operations. Additionally, the role owns global programmes such as the bonus calculation and payout governance and vehicle registration enablement in collaboration with Homologation, IT, and regional registration partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Global Sales Process Governance & Market Support: Define, maintain, and enforce global sales operations policies, procedures, and documentation standards, acting as the global authority for sales process optimisation, sales documentation standards, customer order flow.
- Network Process Adherence & Dealer Governance: Develop and administer auditing frameworks to assess sales performance, stock handling, registration processes, and customer order accuracy.
- Vehicle Registration Enablement.
- Sales Order Management, Data Quality & System functionality.
- Order Take Monitoring.
- Sales Lead for organisational projects requiring sales input.
- Quality approval.
- Continuous improvement & best practice deployment: Lead global projects that optimise efficiency, reduce operational friction, and standardise cross-market processes.
- Leadership & Team development: Build and lead a global operations support team and coach regional Market Operations Managers on performance, compliance, and operational excellence.
- Delivery against KPIs and Budget.
Qualifications:
- Significant proven industry experience in automotive commercial operations, sales operations, or order-to-delivery environments within an OEM or large automotive importer.
- Proven global or multi-regional role exposure, working with multiple markets, dealer networks, and importer models.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain / Logistics, Finance or Information Systems.
- Master's degree (MBA or MSc) is highly desirable, particularly with focus on operations, strategy, or digital transformation.
- Strong end-to-end vehicle sales operations expertise e.g. Order-to-cash processes or Vehicle allocation and stock management.
- Experience leading governance frameworks, including global process definition, policy rollout, audits, and compliance tracking.
- Experience working in matrix organisations with strong regional autonomy.
- Change management experience, driving system or process standardisation across regions with varying maturity levels.
- Strong Negotiator and Leadership skill.
- Sales Operations & Process Expertise with strong Analytical and performance management skills.
- Strategic Thinker, able to absorb and analyse huge quantities of information to make informed decisions.
- Natural ‘Arranger' with a proven ability to organise resources and with a 'can do / anything is possible' approach.
- High attention to detail and data precision with a structured, methodical, and disciplined working style.
