Your role: The Vehicle Logistics Planner takes ownership of day-to-day vehicle movements and ensuring timely, accurate delivery of finished vehicles from our production plant to destinations worldwide. In this role, you will coordinate the daily logistics network, systems, and processes to guarantee seamless vehicle delivery. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders and external Logistics Service Providers (LSPs) to monitor and optimize distribution quality and service, ensuring that our supplier and retailer networks consistently meet agreed SLAs.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Plan, execute, and monitor daily vehicle dispatches, ensuring timely pickups, accurate routing, and delivery tracking by road and sea from the plant and ports to global destinations, including ad-hoc and VIP movements.
- Manage daily communications and issue resolution with Logistics Service Providers to ensure smooth operations and handle internal logistics queries with the Regional Team.
- Manage ETAs, sailing schedules, and delivery updates; proactively communicate delays and support customer notifications.
- Operate and maintain logistics systems (TMS and VMS) for accurate transport bookings, real-time visibility, and compliance with regulations.
- Oversee governance and reporting of vehicle storage operations within compounds, ensuring alignment between physical inventory and the Yard Management System (YMS).
- Support the supplier performance review process by monitoring weekly and monthly performance, recording key issues, and identifying improvement opportunities.
- Validate and reconcile freight invoices against service contracts and agreed freight rates.
- Collaborate with production, sales, yard operations, IT, customs, and dealer networks to optimize logistics performance.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in logistics planning, ideally in automotive logistics or finished vehicle distribution.
- Proven ability to manage day-to-day logistics operations under tight deadlines, with experience in resolving operational issues with carriers and internal teams.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency with Excel, Power BI, and ERP systems (SAP S/4HANA or similar).
- Knowledge of Transport Management Systems (TMS) and freight billing processes.
- Experience in freight billing and invoice reconciliation, including carrier charge validation and discrepancy resolution.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Excellent organizational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to service excellence.
- Continuous improvement orientation—experience with Lean, Kaizen, or similar methodologies is a strong advantage.
- Fluent English required for daily coordination; working knowledge of French is a strong plus.
