Sustainable Energy First is a leading sustainable energy and utilities specialist. As a certified B Corporation with a strong commitment to sustainability, we are focused on reducing the carbon footprint of our clients, which account for 3.5% of UK business power consumption. In effect, we have aligned our own sustainability ambitions with those of our clients and prospects. Eradicating 327,000 tonnes CO2e by 2028 is the goal – this is the equivalent of taking 73,000 cars off the road.

As a Senior Sales Consultant, you’ll be at the forefront of driving growth for Sustainable Energy First. Your mission is to identify opportunities, build strong client relationships, and deliver tailored energy solutions that help businesses save costs, improve efficiency, and achieve their sustainability goals. This is a high-impact role where you’ll combine your sales expertise, market knowledge, and consultative approach to make a real difference for clients and contribute to a greener future.

Requirements:

  • Self-motivated and proactive, with a drive to seek and secure new opportunities.
  • A solid understanding of the UK energy sector (including sustainability and regulatory frameworks), along with a passion for sustainability and advocacy for doing good for the planet.
  • A strong track record of winning high-value contracts with complex commercial structuring and delivering tangible results.
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build trust and influence at all levels.
  • A strategic thinker with an analytical mindset, capable of assessing the value and impact of potential new clients.
  • Tech-savvy, competent with CRM systems (Salesforce), and leveraging technology to enhance the sales process.
  • Ability to thrive in competitive environments and demonstrate your capabilities.
  • Experience in responding to and winning large tenders.
