I am currently partnering with a PE backed company who are looking for a Head of FP&A to come and join the Group Finance team. This is for a large-cap business who will be looking to go through an exit within the next 12 – 24 months. You will need to have experience from working in a large business and have a blend between FP&A, FBP and transaction. My client is looking for someone who is very ambitious and looking to step up from their current role or to move across with the expectation of stepping up within the next 18 – 24 months.

Key requirements:

  • Lead the end-to-end integrated planning process, ranging from short-term liquidity forecasting to long-term strategic projections.
  • Take full accountability for advanced financial models, ensuring they are robust, automated, and capable of simulating complex capital investment scenarios.
  • Prepare group-level projections to inform the Executive team on the strategic deployment of capital and long-term business viability.
  • Act as the lead Finance Business Partner for high-stakes transactions, including refinancing’s, divestments, joint ventures, and potential Group-level exits.
  • Maintain high-accuracy transaction models and leverage a strong grasp of valuation principles to articulate the Group’s value evolution to third-party advisors and stakeholders.
  • Oversee short-term group cash flow forecasting, driving accuracy across various sites to ensure liquidity requirements are met.
  • Collaborate with Regional Heads of FP&A and Group leadership to translate trading performance and sales pipelines into actionable “forward-look” plans.
  • Prepare high-standard board materials and “ad-hoc” analysis for the C-suite to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Drive the digital roadmap by leading finance systems projects (ERP, Cloud planning tools) and automating KPIs to professionalize Management Information.

Experience:

  • ACA qualified and trained from a top 10 practice or CIMA/ACCA from a large complex company which has gone through a period of growth.
  • Have worked in large businesses ideally ÂŁ300m plus to be considered.
  • Worked closely with the senior leadership team, including storytelling and explaining the why behind the numbers.
  • Previous exit/transaction experience is desired however not essential.
  • You will have hands-on experience of the implementation and/or upgrades of various systems.
  • You will need to be able to work under pressure and to strict deadlines.

For this role you will be comfortable travelling to central London and have managed teams previously. This is an extremely exciting role in a PE backed business which is looking for high growth which will lead to an exit. You will have worked in a PE backed environment previously and have experience in a similar role or looking to step up from your previous position. This is perfect for someone who is very ambitious and wants to drive their career forward. This role is paying between £100,000 – £125,000 + bonus and excellent benefits.
