About the Role
As an Inside Sales Associate at Industrious, you’ll be a core part of our European sales team, working across our growing portfolio of buildings to drive occupancy and deliver an exceptional experience to every prospective member. You’ll manage inbound enquiries via phone, email, and web, converting leads into high‑quality tours and, ultimately, signed members. A significant part of this role is building and maintaining strong relationships with commercial property brokers and agents across Europe — ensuring Industrious is front of mind when they’re placing clients, and that every interaction reflects the quality of our product. You’ll work closely with Sales Managers in‑country, supporting their pipelines and making sure no lead falls through the cracks. Beyond the day‑to‑day, you’ll have the opportunity to help shape how we approach broker engagement and new business sales across the region. This role will be based in London and will report directly to the Sales Director, UK, with a dotted line to the General Managers and Sales Managers across our European locations.
You know you’re a great fit for this role if:
- You have 2-3 years of experience in business development, broker relationships, or sales.
- You love talking with people on the phone and can effortlessly build relationships and trust with prospective members in a virtual environment.
- You’ll execute outbound sales initiatives through daily activities to achieve weekly targets.
- You love being busy and are an exceptional multi‑tasker.
- You understand the value of broker and agent relationships and know how to build them properly.
- You’re comfortable picking up the phone, following up consistently, and making sure the right people know about our buildings.
- You are a great communicator, verbally and in writing.
- You are organised and administrative tasks come easily to you.
- You are numbers‑driven, goal‑oriented, and resilient.
- You set high expectations for yourself and are motivated by seeing how your work is contributing to the company’s growth.
This role is not a good fit for you if:
- You work best as a team of 1 and are not motivated by working with others to achieve a larger team goal.
- Sales‑focused goals are not motivating or aligned with your career path.
- You enjoy slower‑paced environments and prefer not to multitask.
- You hate talking on the phone.
- You don’t want to be at your laptop almost all‑day.
Responsibilities:
- Contact potential clients through phone calls, emails, and text message to schedule in‑person and virtual tours for the Area Sales Lead.
- Build and manage relationships with commercial property brokers and agents across Europe, maintaining regular contact to ensure Industrious is consistently positioned as the go‑to flexible workspace partner.
- Manage broker lead follow‑up diligently, ensuring timely responses, accurate information, and a viewing experience that reflects the quality of our product.
- Work alongside Sales Managers across European locations, supporting their pipelines and coordinating activity to maximise conversion across the network.
- Follow up with leads to re‑engage or reschedule missed or cancelled tours.
- Work towards and maintain 100% location occupancy nationwide through executing outbound and inbound sales activities.
- Respond promptly and professionally to inbound enquiries across all channels: web, phone, and referrals.
- Conduct discovery conversations to understand a prospect’s team size, budget, timeline, and workspace requirements.
- Update the Broker Master Availability document weekly and distribute it to the broader broker and agent market.
- Qualify leads against agreed criteria and route them appropriately for viewings to the sales lead team.
- Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date records in Salesforce.
- Proactively follow up on dormant leads and nurture longer‑term prospects.
- Collaborate closely with location teams and senior sales executives to align on pipeline quality.
- Share market feedback and prospect insights to help refine positioning and targeting.
- Work alongside the wider sales team on broker activation activities, including pre‑launch campaigns, launch events, and broker visits.
- Hit monthly and quarterly targets for qualified pipeline generation and scheduled viewings.
- Provide unmatched customer service to potential prospects as the first point of contact via phone calls, email, and chat to ensure an excellent start to their member experience.
- Re‑engage with potential members, addressing their needs, handling objections, and communicating the benefits of Industrious to ensure the highest possible conversion rate of completed tours across our network.
- Execute on daily targets involving outbound marketing campaigns to help increase conversion within our sales funnel.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with our Marketing and Unit Ops teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Generate and share thoughtful and strategic insights about customers’ needs that drive improvements in our sales and marketing approach.
- Drive existing and new initiatives, including our referral program, lead re‑engagement strategy, website chat feature, and No Show/Canceled Tour outreach.
