Overview
On-Site Coordinator (Temp) β Parcel Sorting Warehouse
Contract: Temporary (ongoing). Location: On-site at a busy parcel-sorting warehouse. Hours: Split shift 07:30-09:30 and 19:30-21:30, 7 days per week (job share considered possible). Pay: Β£15.00 per hour (PAYE). Start: ASAP.
Responsibilities
- Meet & greet / check-in temps at both shift start times; complete headcount and allocate workers to areas.
- Time & attendance: maintain accurate records; chase no-shows; process swaps/replacements quickly.
- Daily liaison with client shift managers on headcount, changes, and performance updates.
- Fill last-minute requests using pre-vetted workers; coordinate short-notice cover.
- Inductions & briefings: deliver site tours, H&S basics, PPE checks, and key process reminders.
- Welfare & performance: be the go-to for queries; give on-the-spot coaching and escalate issues appropriately.
- Compliance admin: right-to-work verification (as required), AWR/WTD awareness, timesheet sign-off.
- MI & reporting: submit attendance, attrition, and incident notes; flag risks early.
- Standards & safety: champion housekeeping, safe conduct, and respectful behaviour on site.
About you / Qualifications
- Experience in on-site coordination, warehouse supervising, or high-volume staffing (agency or in-house).
- Calm, organised and decisive under time pressure; confident communicator at all levels.
- Comfortable enforcing site rules and addressing performance/welfare matters professionally.
- IT-literate (T&A systems, spreadsheets, messaging apps).
- Reliable for split shifts 7 days a week (we can discuss a job-share, e.g., AM/PM split or alternate days).
- Driving licence/own transport is highly desirable due to split-shift hours.
- Must have legal right to work in the UK
