We’re looking for a highly organised, accurate and systems-savvy Sample Inventory & Logistics Coordinator to join a specialist warehouse environment in Milton Keynes. This role would suit someone who is really good at warehouse operations, stock control and inventory systems, but who also takes enormous pride in getting the detail right. You’ll be responsible for the accurate receipt, storage, tracking, retrieval and despatch of valuable biological samples, so accuracy, attention to detail and following processes are absolutely key. We’re looking for someone who understands warehouse and inventory operations, is comfortable working with computerised systems and enjoys working in a structured, process-driven environment. What will you be doing? * Receiving and accurately recording incoming samples and laboratory materials. * Ensuring samples are stored in the correct location and maintaining accurate inventory records. * Picking and retrieving samples accurately against client and laboratory requirements. * Preparing and despatching samples in line with client and statutory requirements. * Managing the receipt and despatch of goods through Goods In/Goods Out. * Keeping sample and consumable stock records up to date. * Updating and maintaining information accurately within LIMS and other inventory systems. * Operating both manual and automated sample storage systems. * Monitoring storage temperatures and responding promptly to alarms or issues. * Supporting the safe disposal/destruction of samples in line with client instructions and regulatory requirements. * Keeping storage and working areas clean, organised and safe. * Working closely with laboratory, warehouse and sample inventory teams to ensure daily requirements are met. * Following SOPs and quality procedures at all times. * Identifying and reporting discrepancies, errors, equipment issues or quality concerns. * Supporting continuous improvement and helping the team find better and more efficient ways of working. * Training and supporting colleagues when required. * What are we looking for? We’re looking for someone who is exceptionally organised, accurate and reliable, with a strong background in warehouse, stock, inventory or logistics operations. You’ll ideally have: * Experience working within a warehouse, inventory, stock control, logistics or goods-in/goods-out environment. * Excellent attention to detail – you’ll be someone who naturally spots discrepancies and doesn’t let things slip through the net. * Strong computer and systems skills, with the confidence to learn new software quickly. * Experience using WMS, ERP, stock control, inventory or database systems. Experience with LIMS would be advantageous. * Good numerical and data-entry accuracy. * Experience working to defined processes, SOPs or quality standards. * The ability to manage your own workload and meet deadlines. * A methodical and organised approach to work. * Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. * A proactive attitude – someone who will flag an issue rather than walk past it. * A genuine commitment to getting things right first time
