This role is responsible for supporting and developing business-critical applications and digital solutions across the organisation. In addition to technical responsibilities, the role will actively contribute to IT strategy, supplier management, project delivery, and continuous improvement initiatives, providing a development pathway.
37.5 hours per week between the hours of 08:30 and 17:30. Additional out of hours (on-call) requirement for this role.
This position plays a vital role in supporting our customers by delivering high-quality IT services throughout the full lifecycle of solutions, including solution design, installation, configuration, implementation, and ongoing technical support. Working across both hardware and software technologies, the role ensures customers receive an outstanding service experience and achieve maximum value from their investment in all products and solutions.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a passion for technology, innovation, and customer excellence, combined with the technical expertise required to deliver application and hardware support both remotely and on-site. Acting as a trusted technical adviser, they will work collaboratively with customers and internal stakeholders to drive successful outcomes, optimise system performance, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our service offering.
A certain amount of travel throughout the UK and Ireland will be required to perform technical support activities, system implementations, and hardware installations. The role is instrumental in ensuring operational excellence, maintaining high customer satisfaction levels, and supporting the successful delivery of key business objectives.
The successful candidate will be expected to take ownership of customer issues, proactively identify opportunities for service enhancement, and contribute to the ongoing development of best practices across the team.
As part of the IT Product Specialist team, the successful candidate will participate in an out-of-hours support rota, providing business-critical support to our customers and demonstrating flexibility and commitment to maintaining service continuity. They will also contribute to the wider strategic goals of the department by sharing knowledge, supporting innovation, and helping to shape the future direction of our IT product support services.
