Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and driven Installation / Service Manager to lead and develop a growing service, maintenance, and installation function. This is a key role focused on driving profitable service revenue, managing nationwide installation projects, and building a reliable subcontractor network. You will take full ownership of projects from order through to client sign-off, ensuring high standards of delivery, cost control, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Service & Installation Management
- Oversee all service, maintenance, and installation activities from order to completion
- Manage rollout programmes requiring installation, ensuring timely and successful delivery
- Develop and implement call-out procedures for service contracts
- Conduct site surveys and produce installation specifications
- Commercial & Sales Support
- Support and contribute to the growth of service and maintenance contract sales
- Work closely with sales teams to identify and develop opportunities
- Lead pricing and cost negotiations to ensure profitability
- Subcontractor Management
- Build and manage a UK-wide network of subcontractors
- Oversee subcontractor performance, onboarding, and training
- Ensure work is delivered to required quality and compliance standards
- Project & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the key point of contact for site and client communication
- Coordinate internal teams and external contractors
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification
- Reporting & Performance
- Produce monthly reports on cost performance and delivery metrics
- Monitor service and maintenance costs vs revenue
- Installation costs vs revenue
- Project timelines and completion rates
- Drive continuous improvement across service delivery
Key Skills & Experience
- 5–10 years’ experience in a similar service, contracts, or installation management role
- Strong background in service/maintenance contract sales and delivery
- Proven experience managing subcontractors and outsourced services
- Solid project management experience, including large-scale rollouts
- Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
- Experience working with site contacts and managing client relationships
- Knowledge of on-site Health & Safety requirements
- Ability to read and interpret technical/site drawings
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Qualifications
- CITB certification (preferred)
- Full UK driving licence
