In this role, you will support the Commercial Team and the Contracts and Bids Team Manager by providing the contract management expertise needed to negotiate and execute Commercial Contracts with NHS customers, Primary MSC providers, and sub-contractor partner suppliers during both tender activities and post-award phases.
You will require a strong grasp of the legal and technical requirements of Managed Service Contracts, Commercial Contracts, and Partner Supplier sub-contracts, along with a robust understanding of the key diagnostic technologies used in pathology laboratories.
Strong commercial awareness, excellent time-management skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a customer-focused mindset are essential.
There may be some travel requirements within the UK and Ireland related to the responsibilities of this role.
Tender Response and Contract negotiation:
- Successful completion of all contract negotiations and documentation.
- Successful completion of all commercial contract negotiations and documentation when supplying direct to customers within the NHS or Private Sector.
- Liaising with the company’s lawyers as well as legal representatives from customers and Partner Suppliers to finalise commercial contract negotiations (including KPIs) both during the tender process and following award.
- Ensure compliance with procurement regulations including PCR2015 and PA23.
Contract delivery and contract performance:
- Management and monitoring of contract performance post implementation including delivery against SLA and KPI contractual obligations.
- Presentations to customers and meetings with customers as part of the pre-sales and the Tender Processes.
- Providing Contract / KPI expertise and input to competitive dialogue meetings with customers as a part of the tender process where appropriate.
- Working with other members of the Commercial Support Services Department to produce and collate tender responses.
Administration:
- Ensure all documents are completed according to the required standard and quality.
- Create and update as required documentation relating to training, installation, SOPs and regulatory issues.
