We are currently recruiting for a General Operative to join a busy manufacturing environment in Lutterworth. This is a hands-on production role where you will support the moulding team with operating machinery, handling moulded parts, carrying out secondary operations and ensuring products meet the required quality standards.
The Role
- Operating machinery safely and efficiently
- Monitoring machine performance and cycle times
- Carrying out visual quality checks on finished parts
- Trimming excess material and deburring components
- Drilling, tapping and carrying out ultrasonic welding where required
- Assembling and inserting components
- Packing finished products according to instructions
- Following production procedures and works instructions
- Completing production and quality paperwork accurately
- Recording production counts, scrap and cycle times
- Reporting any machine faults or quality issues to the supervisor
- Keeping your workstation and surrounding areas clean, organised and hazard-free
- Following all health & safety procedures and wearing PPE as required
About You
- Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment
- Good attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- Basic maths and literacy skills
- The ability to follow instructions and production procedures
- A reliable and hardworking approach
- The ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Experience operating injection moulding machinery would be advantageous, although full training can be provided
Working Environment
This is a hands-on role involving standing for extended periods and manual handling. You must be comfortable working in a busy production environment and be flexible to work days, nights or rotating shifts where required.
