A leading, multi-site B2B food processing business with a strong UK and international presence is seeking a Head of Marketing to take full ownership of its marketing strategy, structure, and delivery. This is a rare opportunity to build and lead a high-performing marketing function from the ground up, driving commercial growth, strengthening brand positioning, and directly supporting sales performance across UK and global markets.

The Role

You will define and lead the overall marketing strategy, working closely with senior leadership and commercial teams to ensure all activity is insight-led, commercially focused, and delivers measurable impact.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Marketing Strategy & Leadership
    • Own and develop the full marketing strategy aligned to business growth objectives
    • Build and structure the marketing function
    • Lead, develop, and mentor the marketing team and external partners
  • Brand, Campaigns & Communications
    • Own brand strategy and positioning across all channels
    • Lead integrated campaigns supporting sales, growth, and visibility
    • Oversee content, digital, social media, and communications activity
    • Ensure consistent messaging across all touchpoints
  • Commercial Impact
    • Partner closely with sales and commercial teams to align marketing activity
    • Develop sales enablement and commercial marketing materials
    • Drive lead generation, conversion, and customer retention outcomes
  • Events & Market Presence
    • Lead strategy for events, exhibitions, awards, and sponsorships
    • Manage external agencies and supplier relationships
    • Ensure strong external brand representation
  • Data & Performance
    • Own marketing performance measurement and reporting
    • Use analytics and insight to optimise ROI and effectiveness
    • Drive continuous improvement across all marketing activity

About You

You are a commercially minded, strategic marketing leader with strong experience in food, B2B, or international markets. You understand how marketing drives sales and growth and are confident building structure, teams, and processes from the ground up.

Key experience:

  • Senior marketing leadership experience in food/B2B or similar sectors
  • Strong commercial acumen and close alignment with sales functions
  • Experience leading and developing marketing teams
  • Strong brand, campaign, and multi-channel marketing expertise
  • Data-led decision making with clear ROI focus
  • Confident stakeholder management at senior level

Degree in Marketing or equivalent experience preferred.
