Industrious Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Yard Operative to join a friendly, dynamic, and fast-paced warehouse team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in maintaining a safe and organised working environment, and is looking for a long-term role within a supportive business.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 4:00pm

This is a varied and physical position, where no two days are the same. Approximately 20–30% of the role will involve operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck, with the remainder focused on general yard and warehouse duties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck to move materials safely around the site.
  • Using the baler to process cardboard and recyclable waste.
  • Breaking down and stacking pallets for disposal or reuse.
  • General housekeeping to ensure the warehouse and yard remain clean, tidy, and safe.
  • Assisting with unloading containers and moving stock as required.
  • Supporting the warehouse team with a variety of manual handling and operational tasks.
  • Following all health and safety procedures at all times.

What We’re Looking For

  • A valid, in-date Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence.
  • Previous warehouse or yard experience.
  • Comfortable carrying out manual handling and physically demanding duties.
  • Reliable, hardworking, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to support wherever needed.
