Industrious Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Yard Operative to join a friendly, dynamic, and fast-paced warehouse team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands‑on work, takes pride in maintaining a safe and organised working environment, and is looking for a long-term role within a supportive business.
This is a varied and physical position, where no two days are the same.
Approximately 20-30% of the role will involve operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck, with the remainder focused on general yard and warehouse duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck to move materials safely around the site.
- Using the baler to process cardboard and recyclable waste.
- Breaking down and stacking pallets for disposal or reuse.
- General housekeeping to ensure the warehouse and yard remain clean, tidy, and safe.
- Assisting with unloading containers and moving stock as required.
- Supporting the warehouse team with a variety of manual handling and operational tasks.
- Following all health and safety procedures at all times.
What We're Looking For
- A valid, in-date Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence.
- Previous warehouse or yard experience.
- Comfortable carrying out manual handling and physically demanding duties.
- Reliable, hardworking, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A positive attitude and willingness to support wherever needed.
