This is a senior technical role focused on dimensional measurement, vision-based metrology systems and customer application support. You will act as a key technical resource for customers, sales teams, and internal product development, providing expertise across measurement applications, system setup, calibration, and product development.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert support on dimensional measurement and vision-based metrology.
  • Set up, test and calibrate optical and vision measurement systems.
  • Advise customers on measurement methods, tolerances, and accuracy.
  • Support demonstrations, training, and technical problem-solving.
  • Work with design teams to support new product development.
  • Mentor less experienced engineers within the metrology team.
  • Travel to customer sites in the UK and occasionally overseas.

Requirements:

  • At least five years’ experience in metrology or dimensional inspection.
  • Strong understanding of measurement principles, tolerances, and accuracy.
  • Experience with optical, vision-based, or non-contact measurement systems.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and advise on measurement methods.
  • Practical experience setting up or calibrating measurement equipment.
  • Strong customer-facing communication and technical problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to work primarily on-site near Woking and travel when required.
