We're recruiting on behalf of a highly successful international manufacturer seeking a hands-on Production Team Leader to oversee a busy production and warehouse operation. This is an opportunity to join a growing business where you'll play a key role in driving performance, developing people and delivering operational excellence.
You'll lead a team across production and warehouse functions, ensuring safety, quality, productivity and customer delivery targets are consistently achieved.
The Role
- Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will:
- Lead, motivate and develop production and warehouse personnel
- Ensure all operations are carried out safely and in line with company procedures
- Drive performance across safety, quality, delivery, cost and people metrics
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Monitor productivity, attendance, timekeeping and team performance
- Support training and development across the team
- Work closely with planning, operations and other departments to achieve production targets
- Ensure smooth shift handovers and effective communication across the operation
- Maintain high standards of workplace organisation, stock control and visual management
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience leading teams within a manufacturing, production, warehouse or industrial environment
- Strong people management and communication skills
- A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement
- Ability to remain calm and make effective decisions under pressure
- Experience using production, ERP/MRP or warehouse management systems
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
- Full UK Driving Licence
- FLT Licence desirable but not essential
