As a growing business with a strong focus on quality, safety, and teamwork, they are now looking to recruit an experienced Plastics Supervisor/Setter to join their weekend shift team. This is a hands-on leadership role, combining technical setting skills with team supervision and production management.
Supervisor/Setter - Weekend Shift
Location: Yaxley, Cambridgeshire
Salary: £19.24 per hour + £100 weekly shift allowance
Hours: Friday to Sunday, 05:45 - 18:00
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, adjust, and maintain plastics manufacturing machinery
- Lead and supervise the weekend production team
- Troubleshoot machine and process issues to minimise downtime
- Train and support operators on equipment and procedures
- Monitor production output to ensure targets and quality standards are met
- Carry out quality checks and ensure safety protocols are followed
- Support continuous improvement and efficiency efforts
Required Experience:
- Minimum 3 years\' experience working in an injection moulding environment
- Hands-on experience in machine setting and troubleshooting
- At least 2 years of supervisory or team leadership in a factory/production setting
- Strong understanding of health & safety regulations
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Proactive approach to process improvements
- Flexible and adaptable to changing business needs
