Job Description
Are you an experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer with strong mechanical and electrical maintenance skills? Do you enjoy fault finding, preventative maintenance, and working across a wide range of manufacturing machinery? If so, we want to hear from you.
Impact Recruitment are currently working with a well-established manufacturing business based in Corby who are looking to recruit a Multi-Skilled Engineer on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing engineering team supporting a wide range of production equipment and manufacturing processes.
The successful candidate will work across extrusion, foaming, RIM moulding machinery, LEVs, and associated production equipment, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance to ensure machinery operates safely and efficiently.
Location: Corby
Hours: Flexible working hours between 07:30 – 16:30
Weekly Hours: 39 hours per week
Salary: £40,000 per annum (Negotiable DOE)
Contract: Permanent
Duties:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across manufacturing machinery and site equipment
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults efficiently
- Strip, repair, and maintain motors, gears, tooling, and production equipment
- Work on electrical systems including PCB fault finding, control panels, and machine wiring
- Support breakdown response to minimise production downtime
- Maintain extrusion, foaming, RIM moulding machinery, LEVs, and associated equipment
- Support continuous improvement and engineering upgrade projects
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with company procedures
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
The ideal candidate must:
- Have previous experience as a Multi-Skilled Engineer within a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrate strong mechanical and electrical maintenance capability
- Have experience fault finding on motors, gears, control panels, and production machinery
- Be confident carrying out both reactive and preventative maintenance
- Have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
- Be organised, reliable, and proactive in their approach
- Engineering qualifications would be advantageous but are not essential with relevant experience
