Impact Recruitment are currently working with a well-established food manufacturing business based in Wellingborough who are looking to recruit a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join their Engineering team. This is a hands-on maintenance role where you will be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance across a range of production machinery.Location: WellingboroughShift: Monday - Friday rotating shifts: 06:00 - 14:00 / 08:00 - 16:00 / 14:00 - 22:00 (no nights)Salary: £42,000 - £47,000 per annumContract: PermanentDuties:Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across production machineryRespond to breakdowns and minimise production downtimeDiagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faultsWork across production machinery including mills, bailers, mixers, hoppers, and robotsCarry out root cause analysis and corrective actionsSupport continuous improvement and machinery reliability improvementsUse workshop equipment including drills, saws, grinders, and welding equipmentSupport the installation and commissioning of new equipmentThe ideal candidate must:Be apprentice trained with an NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, BTEC, or equivalent engineering qualificationHold a current 18th Edition qualificationHave proven multi-skilled maintenance experience within a manufacturing environmentHave strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skillsHave an electrical bias, although the role is approximately 50/50 electrical and mechanicalBe confident using hand tools and workshop equipmentHave a good understanding of Health & Safety within a manufacturing environmentBe comfortable working directly on production machinery and responding to breakdownsDesirable:Previous experience within food manufacturing, FMCG, packaging, or process manufacturingPLC fault-finding experience (programming is not required)Experience with motors, sensors, inverters, conveyors, and pneumaticsExperience using CMMS or maintenance management systemsBenefits:£42,000 - £47,000 salaryPermanent positionOpportunity to work across a wide range of production machinerySupportive Engineering and Production teamsIf this role sounds of interest to you then please apply with an up-to-date CV.
