Impact Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer on behalf of a leading food manufacturing business.
As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across a wide range of production equipment and site facilities. Working within a modern food manufacturing environment, you will support production teams, improve equipment reliability, and ensure all engineering activities are completed safely and efficiently.
- Complete planned preventative and reactive maintenance tasks, ensuring all work is accurately recorded on the E-Maint PPM System.
- Perform electrical fault-finding and mechanical diagnostics across production machinery and plant equipment.
- Maintain and repair a variety of equipment including cutting, packaging, depositing and cleaning equipment.
- Record maintenance interventions and observations in accordance with company procedures.
- Support external contractors and technicians during maintenance and utility-related activities.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives, including 5S, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and 5 Whys methodologies.
- Support and coach production teams in carrying out machine inspections and basic maintenance tasks.
- Ensure compliance with Food Safety, Environmental, and Health & Safety regulations.
Requirements:
- Time-served apprenticeship or recognised engineering qualification.
- 17th or 18th Edition Electrical Qualification.
- Previous maintenance engineering experience within a food manufacturing environment (essential).
- Strong electrical and mechanical maintenance background.
- Self-motivated and proactive approach to maintenance and problem-solving.
Competitive salary of £49,000 per annum. Bonus Scheme. Monday to Friday working pattern, no weekends or shift work. Ongoing training and development opportunities.
