Warehouse Operative

The Role
As a Warehouse Operative, you will play an important part in making sure our customers receive the right products, on time and in excellent condition.
Your role will include:
- Picking and packing customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Picking stock for transfers to our retail stores
- Receipting deliveries into Goods In and checking their accuracy and condition
- Locating incoming stock within the warehouse
- Replenishing picking locations from bulk stock
- Carrying out stock takes and helping to investigate and resolve stock discrepancies
- Working as part of a wider warehouse team to keep orders and stock moving efficiently
No previous warehouse experience is necessary, as full training will be provided. What matters most is that you are reliable, hardworking and take pride in doing a good job.
The Candidate
We're looking for people who:
- Are motivated, hardworking and keen to learn and develop
- Take pride in their work and have a good eye for accuracy
- Work well as part of a team
- Communicate well and are comfortable raising issues when something doesn't look right
- Can work effectively in a busy, fast-paced environment
- Have a positive attitude and are willing to get stuck in
The warehouse is 152,000 sq ft, so the role involves a significant amount of walking and being on your feet throughout the day. You should therefore be comfortable working in an active warehouse environment.

Pay & Progression
We have a clear three-level development structure for our warehouse team, giving you the opportunity to develop your skills, take on greater responsibility and increase your earning potential:
- Warehouse Operative – £12.90 per hour
Your starting role, with full training provided and the opportunity to develop your warehouse skills and knowledge. - Warehouse Advanced Operative – £14.15 per hour
Progression is available for colleagues who consistently demonstrate strong levels ofaccuracy and productivity against our warehouse KPIs. - Senior Warehouse Operative – £15.60 per hour
A further opportunity to progress for colleagues who develop a broader understanding of warehouse operations, contribute to improving warehouse processes and demonstrate the ability to support others.
Progression through the levels is based on developing the skills, performance and responsibilities required for each role.
£125 skills payment each month due to it being a Late Shift role.
