At ITS, we’re proud to be one of the UK’s leading suppliers of tools, accessories, and related products – and we’re now entering an exciting new phase in the expansion of our retail store network. We’ve recently launched a new store concept designed to give customers a more hands‑on, engaging shopping experience. This refreshed approach is now being rolled out to new store locations across the country.

To support this next stage of growth, we’re looking for a Retail Stock Controller to act as the central point of control for all retail stock and inventory performance across our retail stores.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • As Retail Stock Controller, you’ll be responsible for managing and optimising the stock profile of each store to ensure the right products are in the right place at the right time – maximising availability, sales and stock efficiency.
  • You will play a key role in connecting stores, buying, commercial and marketing teams, using data and insight to drive stock decisions that support both sales growth and operational control.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse sales and stock data to optimise store stock profiles and ranging.
  • Manage and develop processes for retail product selection and range changes (New products, Discontinued products, etc.).
  • Ensure stock profiles reflect seasonal trends, demand patterns and local requirements.
  • Adjust stock holding to support promotional plans, new product launches and campaigns.
  • Balance sales opportunity with sensible stock value, holding levels and availability.
  • Provide data‑led recommendations for use of promotional and prime selling space (dump bins, counter‑top, feature bays, etc.).
  • Support and help coordinate merchandising activity linked to promotions and key product launches/Product headliners.
  • Work closely with store managers to review performance, availability and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Buying, Commercial and Marketing teams to align ranging, promotions and stock strategy.
  • Monitor slow‑moving, excess and discontinued stock, proposing actions to improve sell‑through.
  • Develop reporting, KPIs and stock performance metrics for the retail network.
  • Check and help co‑ordinate the merchandising of products to support promotional activity.
  • Continuously review and improve stock processes, systems and controls.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong analytical skills with proven experience using sales and stock data.
  • Confident communicator, able to work cross‑functionally with multiple departments.
  • Experience working in a retail, stock, merchandising or trading environment.
  • Strong Excel skills (forecasting, analysis, reporting).
  • Highly organised, proactive and solutions‑focused.
  • Thrives in a fast‑moving, fast‑paced environment.
  • Flexible approach with a hands‑on mindset.
  • Full driving licence and willingness to travel regularly.
  • Lives within easy reach of Harlow, Essex.

Why Join ITS?

  • Be part of a fast‑growing, innovative retail brand.
  • Play a key role in shaping the future of our retail stock strategy.
  • Enjoy a collaborative, hands‑on culture where your ideas matter.

If you think you have the drive and passion to excel in this role and have the appropriate skills and experience we would love to hear from you.

Benefits:

  • 28 days holiday (inclusive of Bank holidays), which increases with length of service up to 33 days.
